| Herald Staff Writer Senior Airman 1st Class Mark A. Brewer is back home in Ottawa for a visit before leaving for Japan. Brewer has received orders to move to Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan for a 4-year extended tour. He and his wife, Dawn, will leave for Japan at the end of March. “We all want to welcome him home and let him know we are so proud of his service to our country,” Alanna Williams, his mother, said. “Our prayers will be with him and his wife as they begin their new adventure in Japan,” she said. Brewer was deployed to Afghanistan April 2007 and returned to Davis Monthan AFB, Tucson, Ariz., late October 2007. In Afghanistan he was part of the 355th Bulldogs Maintenance Squadron, carrying out the electrical and environmental work on the A-10 Thunderbolt II. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 2003. His parents are Alanna and John Williams, Ottawa, and Darrell Brewer and Laura Brewer of Cheyenne, Wyo. His brother, Alex Brewer, is a senior at Ottawa High School and his sister, Megan Brewer, lives in Wyoming. His grandparents are Mary and Wayne Medlen, Pomona, and Michale and Flora Brewer, Paola. | |
