Ebeck and Prough place third at LEGO Robotics competition

Wellsville Middle School students, Ashley Ebeck and Justin Prough, placed third overall at the regional LEGO Robotics competition Feb. 6 at Burlington Middle School.

Their team was first place in the maze competition. They received candy bars and certificates of recognition.

They competed in the maze competition, the ratio run competition, the 100-foot distance competition, the 25-foot speed competition, and the capture the flag competition. The points from the five competitions were added together to determine an overall winner.

Kansas State University provided LEGO Robotics kits to the schools by sponsoring the competition. The state competition will be April 19 at Manhattan.
