Motor Vehicle Accident

200 North Main Street, 1531 hours, Della Luttrell 24 year old female from Ottawa ran into the back of a vehicle driven by Clinton Spears 16 year old male from Ottawa. This caused Spears to run into the back of a vehicle driven by Michael Clements 48 year old male from Ottawa. Luttrell was cited for following too close.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

300 North Main Street, 1023 hours, Susan Swan 47 year old female from Ottawa was arrested for possession of paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

Warrant Arrest

715 West 2nd Street (Ottawa Police Department), 1500 hours, Robert Wright 39 year old male from Ottawa was arrested on an outstanding City of Ottawa warrant.

300 North Main Street, 1023 hours, Peter Ranjel 32 year old male from Lawrence was arrested on a Franklin County warrant.

Child In Need of Care

800 North King Street, 1448 hours, a 16 year old female, a 1 year old male and a 3 month old female all from Lecompton were taken into custody as children in need of care.

Criminal Damage to Property

1230 Ash (Ottawa Middle School), 1441 hours, a 58-year-old male from Ottawa reported damage to a vehicle owned by USD 290 by unknown suspects.

Took a accident report from Rickie McFadden, of Ottawa. Rickie struck a deer with his vehicle. Damage over $1,000 dollars.

Suspicious Event

Got a call of suspicious activity from 2647 Kentucky Road, stating that there was a male and female going from door to door asking for money. Responded to the area and made contact with Jerry Spurlock of Ottawa and an Ottawa woman. Jerry Spurlock was arrested on a Douglas County warrant. Bond set at $1,500 cash or surety. Spurlock was released to the jail staff.

West Franklin male student 16 yoa was arrested for Battery on 04/21/09 and transported to FRCO Juvenile Detention Center for processing.
