W.F. Falcons don't show rust from lack of competition

OSAWATOMIE — The West Franklin High School track teams competed for the first time in two weeks Thursday at the Francis Wendt Invitational at Osawatomie.

The girls squad finished fifth and the boys, eighth.

“Despite the fact that we haven’t had a meet in almost two weeks and have had limited practice due to the weather, our kids did a great job yesterday,” West Franklin coach Susan Zentz said.

West Franklin competes Monday at Burlingame and Tuesday in Burlington. The Falcons will have five meets in the next two weeks.
