Protective Custody

300 block South Cedar, 1254 hours, a 48 year-old female from Ottawa was taken into protective custody for a mental health evaluation.

Driving Under the Influence, Driving while Suspended, Transporting Open Container

15th and Olive, 1750 hours, a Dustin Earnest 27-year-old Ottawa male was arrested for driving while suspended, transporting open containers and suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

1301 South Main (RMH), 1830 Hours, a 41-year-old Rantoul Kansas male reported the theft of blankets from the hospital. Pamela Crooks 39-year-old Ottawa female was issued a notice to appear and released for the theft after being questioned by officers.

Endangering a child, Promoting Obscenities to a Minor, Furnishing alcohol to a Minor

700 block East Garfield, 1700 hours, Roy Lake 48 year-old male from Ottawa was arrested for providing alcohol, pornographic material and tobacco to minors.

Accident

Michael Boyd, 34, Kansas City, MO, was driving a 2006 Pontiac southbound on I35 when he swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle and lost control in the median. Boyd said he didn’t believe there was any damage.
