Cops on Top

Ottawa Police Chief Dennis Butler, on the roof at right, along with Franklin County Attorney Heather Jones, center, and Osage County Attorney Brandon Jones, left, begin their shift Friday morning on the roof of Wendy’s, 2310 S. Cedar St., Ottawa, during the fourth annual “Cops on Top” event. The Ottawa Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Kansas Highway Patrol, Osage and Franklin County Attorneys offices and many other volunteers will spend 36 hours on top of the restaurant to raise money for Special Olympics.
