Citizen Scholar: ALEX BACHMAN, Wellsville High School

Memorable experiences and the satisfaction of knowing you did something important help define active citizenship for Alex Bachman.

Bachman has been part of such service activities as putting together holiday gift baskets for needy families in California and cleaning up Wellsville as part of Senior Class Clean-Up Day.

He has been involved in livestock and FFA activities and shows in California, Kentucky, Colorado and Kansas. He also worked as a veterinary assistant and livestock caretaker.

At school, Bachman has been involved in Future Business Leaders of America, math competitions and the March of Dimes.

He plans to attend Kansas State University to earn a degree in veterinary medicine.

He is the son of Ronald and Sharon Bachman, Wellsville.
