Veterans appreciate support |
| With the cost of living climbing higher and higher, eating into everybody’s paycheck, the residents of Ottawa and Franklin County did NOT forget our nation’s veterans who need medical help. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the donations given to The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 912 in Ottawa Saturday, as we held our patient needs drive for the Leavenworth and Topeka VA Hospitals. The money we collected was spent in Ottawa on additional items, which will be taken with the sacks of personal need items donated to Volunteer Services at the Leavenworth VA Hospital. The motto of The Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., is “Never again shall one generation of Veterans abandon another,” and our chapter, along with the residents of Ottawa and Franklin County, have not abandoned veterans needing help. Again thanks Ottawa for your support.
