Legion tryouts on tap The Ottawa American Legion baseball program will have tryouts for its AAA and A teams 1 p.m. Sunday or Monday, depending on the outcome of today’s Ottawa High School baseball game at the 4A state tournament. If Ottawa wins, the tryouts will be Monday, if Ottawa loses, it will be Sunday at Orlis Cox. The tryouts are open to any Franklin County resident ages 15 to 19. All those selected will be subject to a $200 commitment fee. OHS soccer players receive honors Eleven Ottawa High School girls soccer team players were selected to the Northeast Kansas Soccer League all-league teams. Second team offense selections were Eliza Allegre, Laura Chartier, BreAnne Hendricks, Lauren Reed and Danielle Stevenson. Second team defense selections were Briana Finch, Shelby Titus and Megan Wilson. Erin Rossman was second team utility. Emma Crenshaw and Brittney Simon were honorable mention picks. | |
