Jeffery Heppler, 16 years of age of Wellsville, was driving too fast for road conditions and had a single car accident. No injuries were reported.

Traffic Stop

Keith Tate, 56, Pomona, was arrested for suspicion of D.U.I.  Tate was transferred to the Franklin County Jail.

Accident Injury

Deputies responded to an injury accident in the 2800 block of Colorado.  26 year old Marks Landie of Ottawa swerved to miss a deer and went off the roadway.  Landie was driving a 2000 Windstar van.  Landie struck a tree in the west ditch.  Landie was transported by air ambulance to a Topeka Hospital.  Report taken.

Male called in stating that another male was making harassing calls to him due to him threatening to tow his vehicle off his property.  I called him and left a message on his cell phone for the harassing calls to stop.

Responded to 3712 Texas Road for one vehicle injury accident. The driver Steven Bell, 58 yoa, of Wellsville, lost control of vehicle and left roadway striking a metal post.

Theft

Clerk, of K-68 Liquor in Pomona reported that a white male attempted to steal a 30 pack of beer from the store. Several customers were able to retrieve the beer.  A Randy Burns Jr. was arrested for the theft.

Accident Injury

Vehicle driven by Zachary Matthews, 18 years of age of McKinney, TX, collided with a semi driven by James Maidl, 34 years of age of Bronwtown,MN.  There were no injuries.  Property damage over $1,000.00.

715 W. 2nd St. Lauren L. Baker, a 37 year old male from Moran, Kansas was arrested on a City of Ottawa Municipal warrant that Osage County had detained for the Ottawa Police Department.

Hit and Run Accident

100 S.Main, Kristal L. Banzhaf reported an unknown vehicle struck her 2003 Chrysler passenger car.

Harboring a Vicious Dog

300 S. Willow, Steven Bogtel, a 33 year old Ottawa male was cited for harboring a vicious dog and dog at large after his dog bit a 13 year old juvenile.

Transporting Open Container

2200 South Princeton, 0221 hours, Susan Swan 47 year old female from Ottawa was arrested for transporting an open container.

1600 South Main, 1645 hours,  Kevin Reed a 44 year old male from Ottawa was going northbound on Main and hit a vehicle that was driven by Marie Fredricks a 52 year old female from Ottawa that was pulling onto Main from 1605 South Main.

Highway K-68 and Eisenhower Road, 0114 hours, Jaime Tate 32 year old female from Ottawa was arrested for transporting an open container.
