Criminal Damage to Property

210 W Tecumseh (Harshaw Research), 1332 hours, a 58-year-old Quenemo KS female reported that an unknown suspect spray painted the side of the building.

 

401 S Hickory (United States Post Office), 1411 hours, a 49-year-old Ottawa female reported that an unknown suspect spray painted the side of the building.

 

203 E 4th (First United Methodist Church), 1239 hours, James Lancaster 68 year-old male from Ottawa reported that an unknown suspect spray painted the side of the building.

 

Warrant Arrest

305 S Main (Franklin County Jail), 1257 hours, Randy Robinson a 47-year-old Ottawa male was arrested on a City of Ottawa warrant.

 

Motor Vehicle Accident

2101 South Princeton (Wal-mart), 2000 hours, a vehicle driven by a Marcel Larios 18-year-old Ottawa Kansas male backed out of a parking stall and struck another parked vehicle owned by a Jama Carter of Ottawa.

 

Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child

715 West 2nd (Ottawa Police Department), 1311 hours, a 47 year-old female from Quenemo reported possible abuse of a 3 year-old child.

Sobriety Check Point K-68 and Beech

 

 

During the check lane  on 05/22/2009 over 1400 vehicle passed through the lane. The check lane was conducted with the Franklin County Sheriffs Office and Kansas Highway Patrol.  78 citations were issued by the Ottawa Police Department.  The breakdown of the citations follows:

56 No Proof of Liability Insurance

5 Driving While License Suspended

7 No License in Possession

3 No Drivers License/Expired License

2 Transporting Open Container of Alcohol

2 No Child Safety Restraint

2100 hours, Danny Taylor 62 year-old male from Kings Mountain, North Carolina was arrested for DUI, transporting an open container of beer and driving with a suspended license.
