JAMES E. NORTH

James E. North, 68, Garnett, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Golden Heights Living Center, Garnett. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Garnett.

He was born Oct. 2, 1940, at Carrol, Iowa, to Sears Robert North and Olive Mae (Dowling) North.  

He graduated from Dow City Arion Community School in 1959.

He served in the U.S. Navy.  

He was a teacher.

He married Vivien Kay Adamson Losh in 1970. They divorced. He married Beverly Ann Dalton Reynolds in 1987. She survives.

Survivors also include adoptive sons, Troy Dennis North and Gavin Lee North; a step-daughter, Gail Dianne Brocklesby, Woodland Park, Colo.; a stepson, Daniel Steven Reynolds, Clarksdale, Ariz.; brothers, Don North John North and Glenn North; sisters, Shirley Garrett and Arlene Birney; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, LaNora, Mary Lou and Olive Mae; and a brother, Robert Arlo North.

Inurnment will be at the Garnett Cemetery.
