A Franklin County Commission meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Franklin County Office Annex, 14th and Main streets.
Members of the public wishing to speak on Agenda Items must register with the County Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting.

- PUBLIC COMMENT: A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time. Discussion is limited to three minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time. Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.
- CONSENT AGENDA: Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”
- Consider the approval of the minutes of the Franklin County Commission meeting of June 17, 2009 and June 22, 2009.
- Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.
- ITEMS OF BUSINESS: Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.
- Approve the letter of engagement for the 2009 audit with Schlotterbeck and Burns, LLC.
- Consider setting a Public Hearing for the Commissioner’s regular meeting on July 15, 2009 to discuss opening a road along the east side of the NE ¼ of Section 17, Township 19 South, Range 21 East.
- Consider accepting the proposal from Hi Plains, Inc. to repair two rails and a post on bridge #630 on Tennessee Road north of Pawnee Road in the amount of $5890.00.
- Consider the grant application for the Local Environmental Protection Program (LEPP).
- Consider entering into executive session for a matter of non-elected personnel for the annual evaluation of County Administrator/Counselor.
