Ottawa High School 2008-09 seniors, front row from left, Amber Martin, Matthew Boyce, Tyler Hazen and Amanda Hinman, back row, Michelle Jamison, Bryce Sessions, Damacius White and Katie Meredith, are pictured with a chalk drawing of the cyclone mascot at the Frontier League Art Festival May 6 at Baldwin High School. Schools drew their mascots in cubist style. Other OHS students who sent art work to the festival included Emily Robbins, Zach Reeves, Jesse King, Caleb Francis, Ashley McCall, Lauren Wiseman, Christian Freitag, Jonah Bienhoff and Bianca Eads. Students whose work received artistice merit included Martin for mixed media, Jamison, Meredith and Boyce for conte crayon drawings, Meredith for a jewelry piece and Hinman for a watercolor painting. Martin also was recognized for artistic excellence for a compte crayon drawing. The sponsors for the event were Joleen Macy Thompson and Melissa Mitchell.
