| By The Herald Staff The Second Street Market, organized by the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce’s events and promotions committee, will go on hiatus. “We’re waiting to see what develops,” Kathy Niehoff, chairwoman of the committee, said. Niehoff said there has been a limited number of vendors at the market, which was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays on Second Street east of Main Street. She said the market had attracted eight vendors but has declined to about four. The committee hopes to continue the markets later this year, Niehoff said. The Franklin County Farmers Market remains open. The market begins at 4 p.m. Wednesdays and 8 a.m. Saturdays in the parking lot of Orscheln Farm & Home, 2008 S. Princeton St., Ottawa. | |
