Construction begins on training camp ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) — Construction is scheduled to begin today on the Kansas City Chiefs’ summer training camp. Groundbreaking on the $10.3 million project was held Monday at Missouri Western State University. The ceremony ended a negotiating process that began last August to move the Chiefs training camp from River Falls, Wis., to St. Joseph. Crossland Construction, a general contractor from Columbus, Kan., submitted the lowest of 14 bids for the project. The camp is scheduled to be done in time for the Chiefs to train there next summer.
