JERROD SMITH

Jerrod Smith graduated from U.S. Marine boot camp June 12.

He was part of Bravo Co. Platoon 1025. He was one of 55 recruits and one of seven who received the Superman Award for physical fitness and also the Sharpshooter Award.

He is now at Oceanside, Calif., for combat training.

He graduated from Ottawa High School. He also attended Williamsburg and Pomona high schools.

He is the son of Rick and Brenda Smith.

His grandparents are Rick and Donna Smith.

His great-grandparents are the late Harry and Peg Smith, and Orren and Wanda Altic, Ottawa.
