Larry Williams 39, Osawatomie, was heading south in a 1994 Ford F-150 pulling a trailer when the trailer was struck by a 2001 GMC Pickup driven by Matthew Miller 31, Rantoul. damage was done to front end of truck and side of trailer. Damage over $1000. Ford F-150 was removed by owner and the GMC Pickup was removed by Andy’s Wrecker.

Deputies responded to an unknown disturbance at 2305 Pawnee Road.  After investigation Deputies arrested 20 Year old William Lute III, for domestic battery.  Lute was transported to the Franklin County Jail, bond set at $750C/S.

Auto Accident

400 S. Poplar, 1120 hrs, The suspect driver Pamela Finch a 48-year-old Ottawa female backed into a parked car owned by Jessica Stottlemire a 40-year-old Rantoul KS female.  Finch cited with limitations on backing and Stottlemire cited with illegal parking in an alley.

100 W. 4th, 0739 hrs, the suspect Jacob Breithaupt a 21-year-old Wellsville KS male was arrested on a Douglas County warrant.

715 West 2nd, 1656 Hours, a Phillip Daniels 20-year-old Ottawa Kansas male turned himself in to authorities on a City of Ottawa Municipal Court Failure to appear warrant.

900 Block Hamblin, 1400 Hours, a 56-year-old Ottawa Kansas male reported that some one had forcefully entered his residence and took items today while he was away.

500 Block South Sycamore, 1135 hours, a 30-year-old Ottawa male reported that his unlocked vehicle had been burglarized and personal items and medications had been taken sometime Thursday night.

1100 West 15th, 1113 hours, a 32-year-old Springhill female reported the theft of a cell phone from a desk drawer some time on 08262009 while she was at work.  

1100 West 17th, 0848 hours, a 44-year-old Ottawa Female reported the theft of a cell phone and personal items from her residence e by a known suspect. The investigation continues.  

Battery

1120 Ash, 1416 hrs, The victim a 40-year-old Quenemo KS female reported that a known suspect battered her.  The 12-year-old suspect from Ottawa was later arrested.

Aggravated interference of child custody/Criminal Threats

700 Block East 4th, 1139 hours a 22-year-old Williamsburg female reported that a known suspect took her minor son out of the state without her permission during a custody dispute.  The child was later located and proper welfare was established.

Damage to Property

100 Block West 3rd, 0113 hours, a 46-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported that an unknown male came to her residence with known subjects and broke a window out of her vehicle during an argument. The case remains under investigation.

Auto Accident (Property)

300 Block North Main, 2345 hours, a Dustin Diediker 20-year-old Ottawa Male reported that he had fallen asleep and struck a City of Ottawa light pole destroying it and damaging his 2004 Dodge Durango. Officer Cronin

500 Block South Oak, 1208 Hours, a 36-year-old Ottawa male reported that he had numerous tools taken out of his detached garage over the past week.

Driving While Suspended, Warrant Arrest x 2

1200 block South Main, 1829 hours, Stacy Brown 36-year-old Ottawa Female was arrested for driving on a suspended license after being stopped for a traffic infraction. She was also arrested for a City of Ottawa and Franklin County warrants.

Auto Accident

6th and Willow, 2131 hours, a vehicle driven by Joshua Longfellow 25-year-old Ottawa Kansas male was struck by another vehicle driven by a Ryan Bass 16-year-oldOttawa Kansas male as he crossed the intersection.
