A Moving Wall thanks

As a Moving Wall committee member in Garnett, I would like to say to the people of Garnett and Anderson County, “Job well done.”

If you didn’t visit the Vietnam Moving Wall, you missed one of the most awesome things that has happened in our county.

I also would like to thank Tracy and Charlotte Modlin, Di and Mark Manger, Dave and Coleen Faries, Ken and Michelle Miller, Brandon and Heather Palmer, Richard Monnard, John and Jessi Zillner, Shirley Roeckers and my husband, Bob.

Thanks to Chris Maynard for having a vision one night of the Wall coming to Garnett. Thanks to the City of Garnett employees, all the volunteers and donors.

Without all of you this would have never worked. The speakers were awesome. The POW-MIA ceremony was very moving and emotional.

A very special thanks go to my new friends from the VVA No. 912 in Ottawa. Roy Dunn, Bill Elston, Robert Rossman and Mr. Lucas, you were wonderful to the 1,000 students you spoke to on Friday. Thank you for serving our country so we can be free today.

My special thanks also go to all the veterans for making this a free country for which we live in today.

I miss you, Daddy.

God bless all of you and God bless America.

Vanessa Robrahn Palmer,

Kincaid.
