| By COURTNEY SERVAES, Herald Staff Writer Ottawa School District officials hope to bring an assessment of whether two school buildings have faulty roofs to a public meeting in about two weeks, Superintendent Dean Katt said. He made the statement at a board meeting Tuesday night. Members of the board recently heard a report that some school roofs were damaged, but that two may need new roofs, despite recent work or construction. The two schools are Garfield Elementary, 1201 College St., and Lincoln Elementary, 1102 Milner St. Subsequently, the district hired a consultant from Chicago to assess the roofs' conditions. More details available in the Thursday edition of The Ottawa Herald.
