We’ve got spirit

Milton and Loretta Scott carve two of their more than 35 pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns Oct. 24 as Sparky, the dog, looks on at their Ottawa home in the 600 block of Maple Street. The Scotts have been decorating their home for Halloween for the past 15 years. The Scotts started small with only a few pumpkins and some glow-in-the-dark light sticks they handed out for safety. “(Trick-or-treaters) liked the light sticks so much we decided to start doing something extra for them,” Milton Scott said. Now the Scotts decorate their home with a cemetery, jail and gallows. “We try to add something new each year,” Milton Scott said.
