OU volleyball splits matches WICHITA — The Ottawa University volleyball team went 1-1 Saturday in Wichita. Ottawa fell to Friends (25-18, 25-12, 25-19) and beat Central Christian (22-25, 25-17, 25-15, 26-24). Senior Toni Reynolds led Ottawa in kills against Friends with five. Kristen Hendrickson and Erin Scott both had four kills apiece. Katie Jensen led Ottawa in digs with 19 and Chrissie Jeannin had 19 assists. Reynolds finished with 13 kills against Central Christian. Hendrickson had 10 kills. Jeannin had 46 assists and Jensen tallied 20 digs. The Lady Braves (13-19, 7-9) play 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tabor College.
Crawford records ace Rick Crawford aced the the seventh hole Saturday at Hickory Hollow. He used a seven-iron on the 138-yard hole. It was witnessed by Dick Potter, John Lovgren, Les Michael and Karon Crosby. May leads team to scramble win The foursome of Duane McIntyre, Danny Drum, Bruce May and Karon Crosby shot a minus-2 to win the Monday senior scramble at Hickory Hollow. May (No. 3) and Les Michael (No. 7) were closest to the pin winners. | |
