Margot Hildebrandt, 81, of Ottawa, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1320 W. 15th St. in Ottawa, where family will meet with friends at 9 a.m. before the services. She was born Oct. 28, 1928, in Germany to Willi and Frieda (Szablewckie) Ohm. She had been a resident of the Ottawa area 33 years, moving from Chicago, Ill., where she had lived 25 years. She was a high school graduate. She worked in a deli in Chicago; trained as a nurse’s aide; and retired from King Radio of Ottawa after 27 years as a factory worker. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She married Peter Plotycia in 1948 in Germany. He preceded her in death. She married Norman Hildebrandt in March of 1976 in Chicago, Ill. He survives of their home. Survivors also include sons, Harry Plotycia of Chicago, Ill., John Plotycia of Medford, Ore., John Hildebrandt of Ottawa; stepdaughter, Debbie Rodgers of Ottawa; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roman Plotycia; a brother, Hans Ohm; and a sister, Gunter Ohm. Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Fouts Cemetery, Franklin County.
