Kansas City wheat futures opened higher today, as the U.S. Dollar moved lower, according to traders.

New money came into the wheat market as the dollar hit lower levels hard, traders added.

Buying interest dried up in Kansas City wheat futures and prices turned lower, establishing a wide price range in the morning session.

The favorable weather in the next few days are helping with the corn and soybean harvest, and SRW wheat planting, traders said.  Fundamentals continue to place some pressure on wheat prices.

KC Dec wheat was 3/4 cents higher at $5.20 3/4 at midday.

CASH GRAIN: The basis feels steady today, with some cars trading at lower levels last night, traders said.
